This is still super early stages but we're working on a future Ascendice version which will use magnetic induction to power LEDs in the die itself. We're starting very simple, but there are obvious features and enhancements we could add, and many we will test.
Current features are:
- USB C power cable
- Light on/off button on base
- White LEDs on every face to illuminate the numbers
- Induction coil in the base and the die to allow power
- A very small battery in the die to keep it lit for ~15 seconds while it's rolled
